2017 Easter Message for New England Archdeaconry
Dear Fathers in God,
"He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay." Matthew 28:v6
The empty tomb, the most profound embarrassment ever suffered by the kingdom of darkness. For over two thousand yours, they have continued to search for answers to their greatest disaster. But as the Lord continues on the throne, they will search without success forever!
Think of the momentum in the camp of the enemy on Friday and Saturday. Every created order came to a standstill, not knowing what was next. The Prince of Life was stowed away in the dark tomb behind a large stone. They thought they had scored a lasting victory. Jesus endured the worst human hearts could conceive without giving up. Then Sunday came with greatest victory of all time. Jesus routed the armies of the enemy. Yes, He is alive! The Savior is no more in the tomb. Friend, that is your story. That is your victory! Jesus secured that victory just for you! The Bible has two columns: on one side contains all God’s promises to mankind from the foundation of the earth and on the other column, just one word, DONE! Jesus, by His victory over death has stamped “DONE” on the other column of all his promises in your life! Joy Cometh!
