2017 Easter Message to Women of The Anglican Diocese of the Trinity (ADOTT)
Dearly Beloved,
I join you all on this Day of Resurrection in the proclamation that ‘Christ has risen! He is risen indeed!! Alleluia!!!’
Yes! our Christ is risen, death could not swallow Him, and neither could the grave hold Him captive!!
The resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ is a proof to the world that we are serving the living God. Over two thousand years ago, three days before His victory, was a shout from the crowd, “Crucify Him! Crucify Him!!” (Luke 23:21). He was substituted for a robber, denied of justice, humiliated, maltreated, made to drink from the cup of bitterness, sorrow, pain and agony. He was finally nailed to the cross. Yes, your Lord and my Lord was nailed to the cross by the very being He created. He submitted Himself to gruesome death to destroy the work of Satan; to reconcile us to God our Creator, to give us peace and eternal life in Him.
As we celebrate His victory today over the world and the accomplishment of the mission of our salvation, what then are we giving Him in return? Nothing but to give our whole life and to live a life of praise and thanksgiving. Whatever situation we may be or find ourselves, let us always remember that He has conquered the world including the situation or circumstance we may be or be experiencing, and obviously victory is assured.
From now until another Easter, I present every one of us “To Him who is able to keep us from stumbling and present us before His glorious presence without fault and with great joy; to the only God our Savior be glory, majesty, power and authority, through Jesus Christ our Lord, before all ages, now and for evermore,” Amen! (Jude 1:v24-25).
Happy Easter to you all and your household!
