2017 Easter Message for Eastern Mid-West Archdeaconry

Dear Brethren of Eastern Mid-West Archdeaconry...Blessings...

Today, marks a Life Changing direction in our lives because the Resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ offered us the free Gift of Salvation. The event of the Resurrection is the most singular difference between us and others. !!!

The Bible said that at the Resurrection morning, the Angels appeared and said simply. "Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen " Luke 24:v3—6

What therefore does this awesome event mean for us as members of our Congregation? 1 Corinth 15v17 makes an outstanding statement. saying, ‘’ And if Christ has not been raised, your Faith is futile; you are still in your sins’’ .And because Christ came to save us from our sins , Matt 1v 21[b], we ought always to ensure that the Gospel is preached to all and Sundry so that others will also receive Salvation.

Remember that if we are too busy to witness the Gospel to others, it shows that we are not grateful at this deliverance from the power of sin and the penalties ensuing from it which has been given freely to us. We ought therefore to re-examine ourselves and win souls for the Kingdom of God.

How therefore should be please the Master, being Witnesses of the Gospel? Gal 5v19-21 spells the pitfalls to avoid as follows’’ sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery.v20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage; selfish ambition, dissensions, factions v21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those live like this will not inherit the Kingdom of God.’’

I must confess that the excitement shown by all members of our Archdeaconry portends growth and favor from the Lord Almighty. As we celebrate today’s Resurrection, let us believe that With God All Things are Possible.
