2016 Easter Message to Knights

Brethren Knights, aka  Defenders of the Faith, Blessings----

Today and indeed this Season, marks theGlorious Celebrationof the Resurrection of our Lordand Saviour Jesus Christ, which essentially reminds us that we are saved from our sins, according to 1 Corith 15 v1—2.  It says ‘’ Now , Brothers, I want to remind you of the Gospel  I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand.v2 ‘By this Gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the Word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain’.

------And how do we get saved in the first place? The Bible records our Lord Jesus ChristHimself as saying in Luke 24v 45—48’’Then He opened their minds so they couldunderstand the Scriptures. v46 He

told them, “ This is what is written: That Christ will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, v47 and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. V48 You are witnesses of these things’’.

Brethren, this is the task before each one of us that as witnesses, we ought not to rest on our oars but to ensure that the message of Salvation is preached to our families, neighbors, friends and well-wishers etc.

As Knights, Christ has committed to us the Message of Reconciliation. We are therefore Christ’s Ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.’’ 2 Corith 5 v19—20.

As Ministers of the New Covenant, Apostle Paul commends us in 2 Corinth 2 v14--17of the need  to always to thank God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the Knowledge of Him. V15 For we are to God the aroma ofChrist among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. V16 To the one, we are the smell of death,’ to the other, the fragrance of life. And who is equal to such a task? V17 Unlike so many, we do not peddle the Word of God for profit. On the contrary; in Christ we speak before God with sincerity like men sent from God.’’
