2017 Easter Message to the Anglican Trinity Youth Members (ATYM)
“Be not be afraid: yet seek Jesus of Nazareth, which was crucified: he is risen he is not here: Behold the place where they laid him.”(Mark 16:6)
On behalf of the Diocesan the Rt. Rev. Amos Fagbamiye and Mama Abike Fagbamiye, I would
like to convey Easter Greetings to all ATYM members during this Easter season.
Easter is the celebration of the resurrection of Jesus from the tomb on the third day after his crucifixion. As Christians we celebrate this great act by reflecting on the following; that Jesus died to reconcile mankind to God the father( 2 Cor.5:18),making us heir of the kingdom (Roman 8:17)and giving us power to conquer sin through the blood of the lamb (Rev.12:11).
Jesus offered himself once and for all that we can live a victorious life through him who loved us most. Let us therefore offer our bodies as a living sacrifice , during this time of Easter as we celebrate with our family members and friends.(Romans 12:1)
In conclusion as we encounter the challenges of our time in philosophy and ideologies at
schools and workplace, let us not be afraid because we have hope in him.
Happy Easter Hallelujah He is Risen !
The Ven. James and Mrs. Alice Mwangi
ATYM Chaplain.
