2016 Easter Message to Pacific Archdeaconry

"I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies."
John 11:25

Brethren, as we celebrate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, let us remember that Easter commemorates our Savior's triumph over sin, Satan and the world.

The Resurrection of Jesus Christ reminds people around the world of the presence of a faithful God. One who offers a love more powerful than death. 

By Christ’ death and resurrection, He shows everyone the way to life and happiness. This way is humility, which involves humiliation. This is the path which leads to glory.

Through his death and resurrection, He has shown that love triumphed over hatred, life has conquered death, and light has dispelled the darkness! 

We ask the risen Lord for the gift of peace for Nigeria, and to the whole world. May the Lord’s resurrection bring light to the whole world.

In this Easter season, join me in praying for peace, wisdom, and resolve. During this holy time, may Christ's example of love and sacrifice compel us towards justice and compassion, and renew us with an assurance of hope and everlasting joy. 

Jesus Christ is risen! He is risen indeed.
